“Your Brain to Me, My Brain to You” exhibition at the National Museum of Qatar

This special installation at the National Museum of Qatar invites visitors to embark on a journey of self-discovery through a multisensory experience that inspires introspection and awe.

Artdayme: The exhibit "Your Brain to Me, My Brain to You," by Swiss artist Pipilotti Rist, at the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ), has been extended until January 15, 2024, according to Qatar Museums.

The exhibit is open everyday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., except on Fridays, when it is open from 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Those interested in going can purchase tickets on the Qatar Museums website. Non-residents of Qatar, children aged 16 and under, and One Pass Holders will be charged QR50, while student non-residents will be charged QR25. The ticket grants access to three exhibits.

According to Qatar Museums, this one-of-a-kind exhibit at the National Museum of Qatar provides visitors with an immersive multisensory experience, leading them on a voyage of self-discovery, reflection, and amazement.

In an earlier interview, Pipilotti Rist characterised the project as extremely emotive, stating her desire that it will take people into a state of present, separating them from their past and future for a brief while, providing a common place for everyone to interact.

The artist also emphasised the installation's therapeutic value. She thinks that culture, music, and visual art may be sources of identification and healing, providing a relaxing and introspective influence that develops a deeper awareness of oneself.
