Dubai Artist, Fink 22 has teamed up with adidas for a new collection
For adidas' first gallery endorsement in the region, a graffiti-art inspired exhibition is on display in Downtown Dubai's 'Foundry'
Artdayme: According to gqmiddleeast, In what promises to be “an evocative and thought-provoking exhibition, bringing together artistic vision, societal commentary, and the spirit of collaboration”, Dubai-based artist FINK 22 presents a new art exhibition titled ‘Extinguished’, where used fire extinguishers are repurposed to release colourful paint at high pressure, onto canvas.
The chaotic nature of the process of applying the paint to the canvas, and the final form it takes as a result, are described as representing and paralleling life’s unpredictability. The harmonising combinations of explosions of colours are meant to display an element of hope and positivity within the surrounding disarray.
This exhibition is in direct partnership with adidas, who have continuously supported artwork in an effort to further empower regional artistic and creative scenes across the globe. This is achieved by providing a platform for smaller, emerging talents who are within a local scale and realise their artistic visions.
Marking the second collaboration between FINK 22 and adidas, the artist created a unique display for the launch of the brand’s Blue Version Collection. The crowd in attendance spectated a live painting performance where an interpretation of the trefoil logo in various pastel colours was created.
On display at Foundry in Downtown Dubai until August 31, the exhibition can be expected to be a similarly abstract experience for all those who wish to take the time and visit.
