UAE Embassy in Paris presented 5 Emirati artists at the 2024 Salon des Beaux Arts

This year's exhibition showcased the work of five Emirati photographers: Karima Al Shomely, Fatima Albudoor, Faisal Al Rais, Ola Allouz, and Jalal Jamal Bin Thaneya.

ArtDayME: The UAE Embassy in Paris participated in the 2024 Salon des Beaux-Arts through a partnership that showcased the photographs of a group of distinguished Emirati artists.

The Salon des Beaux-Arts, established in 1864, is a prestigious and historic event in the art world and stands as a beacon of high-caliber art, celebrating both tradition and innovation in the arts.

Annually attracting 12,000 visitors, it features the works of 80 top artists carefully selected by a committee of cultural professionals. 

Under the patronage of the President of the French Republic, this exhibition, which opened this year on June 20th at L’Orangerie, an iconic venue of the French Senate, continues to highlight diverse artistic expressions, presenting over a hundred works, including photography, engravings, installations, paintings, and more.

This year's exhibition showcased the work of five Emirati photographers: Karima Al Shomely, Fatima Albudoor, Faisal Al Rais, Ola Allouz, and Jalal Jamal Bin Thaneya. This marks the first participation of its kind for Emirati artists in this prestigious art event.

In a significant recognition of talent, the Guest Jury at the 2024 Salon des Beaux-Arts awarded Emirati photographer Karima Al Shomely the silver medal.

On this occasion, Hend Al Otaiba, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the French Republic, said “For the first time, Emirati photographers are being showcased at the Salon, a prestigious cultural event since 1864.
