Maha Malluh is exhibiting her historical series of photograms in AlUla

'Reminiscence' features photograms from Malluh's series of works Tradition and Modernity, Shemagh Mirage and Capturing Light.

ArtDayME: Maha Malluh is a distinguished artist from Saudi Arabia and is exhibiting her historical series of photograms in AlUla. This exhibition features artworks created by the artist since 2005 and underscores her dedication to preserving and documenting her memories in a rapidly changing country.

'Reminiscence' features photograms from Malluh's series of works Tradition and Modernity, Shemagh Mirage and Capturing Light.

Greatly influenced by her spiritual connection to the historic region of Najd, Maha Malluh has witnessed the growing changes in her country over the recent decades with an observant eye, and a heavy heart. She has focused on the use of objects in her work as a means of portraying these changes and the resulting confrontation between modernity and cultural heritage.

Maha Malluh: Reminiscence is on view at the AlUla Arts Festival 2025 in the AlJadidah Arts District from 16 January to 19 April 2025.
