Iranian Classical Art at the Tehran Auction

The 22nd edition of the Tehran Auction, which focuses on traditional, classical, and modern Iranian art, offers collectors a curated tour through Iran's art history.

ArtDayME: In its 22nd edition, the Tehran Auction will feature a rare collection of Iranian classical art, such as paintings, calligraphy, manuscript illumination, applied visual arts, and pictorial carpets, as well as modern Iranian artworks. Over the last decade, the auction has attempted to stabilize the market for contemporary art. However, in response to the increasing international demand for Islamic art at global auctions, this edition focuses on compiling historical works from centuries of Iranian heritage.

The 22nd Tehran Auction will offer 100 items of modern, classical, and traditional art, ranging from the Safavid era to the present. This collection, expertly picked based on Iran's visual history over the previous four centuries, showcases outstanding works of Iranian craftsmanship.
