Steel miniatures by Sahand Hesamiyan at The Third Line gallery
The pinnacle of Sahand Hesamiyan's creativity is the presentation of complex Iranian geometric shapes in a metal as hard as steel, which is world-renowned in ancient Iranian stucco
ArtDayME: Sahand Hesamiyan's third solo show at The Third Line gallery has opened at Alserkal Avenue in Dubai.
The pinnacle of Sahand Hesamiyan's creativity is the presentation of complex Iranian geometric shapes in a metal as hard as steel, which is world-renowned in ancient Iranian stucco
The Third Line gallery wrote about this exhibition: "Prolepsis" serves as a moment of reflection for Hesamiyan. While the artist is renowned for his ambitious large-scale works, this exhibition presents miniature forms of those anticipated projects that remain unmaterialised, but not forgotten. Each sculpture becomes a poignant echo of what could have been, and Hesamiyan prompts us to consider the interplay between aspiration and realisation.
Sahand Hesamiyan says about the exhibition:"This show is really special to me because it brings together my work from 2017 to 2023. Seeing all these pieces on display here fills me with joy, like taking a journey down memory lane and looking at everything I've created over the years. What's different about this show is that, in my past exhibitions, I usually focused on just one piece, however this time, 'm presenting several major projects I've worked on over the years. It's a new experience for me, and I'm excited to see how they are received!"
The exhibition will run through to 3rd November 2023.
