The 15th edition of Abu Dhabi Art, which brings together more than 90 galleries from 31 countries, was opened by the Crown Prince of Dubai.
ArtDayME: Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, inaugurates the 15th edition of Abu Dhabi Art and highlights the role of the fair in providing a platform for emerging artists and inspiring a new generation of artists to explore, develop and showcase their talents.
During the visit, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed toured the galleries and met with renowned artists Nujoom Al Ghanem, Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim, Hashel Al Lamki and Abdul Qader Al Rais. He also met with curators including Dyala Nusseibeh, Director of Abu Dhabi Art, as well as guest curators who are exhbiting works from around the world.
Abu Dhabi Art is supported by a Host Committee chaired by Sheikha Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan.
The 15th edition of Abu Dhabi Art brings together 90 galleries from 31 countries, Including for the first time galleries from Georgia, Mexico, Brazil, Singapore, and Chile.
This year’s edition spotlights diverse geographies alongside curated exhibitions and commissions, positioning itself as a place of discovery for global art histories. The fair remains committed to welcoming diverse curatorial perspectives, embedding itself in the community, and paying an integral part in the art ecosystem in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
Abu Dhabi Art Fair 2023 is organized in 7 different sections, which are: Focus: Hong Kong, Focus: South America, Focus: Arab Women Artists, Focus: Sustainability, Modern & Contemporary, Special Projects and Emerge.
Artist Commissions in Cultural Sites, Beyond Emerging Artists, Gateway: Maqam, are other sections of Abu Dhabi Art.
