Hamidreza Shafiei: Artists' Need to Make a Living via Their Art.
ArtDayME : The Middle East's art scene is growing more rapidly than before; according to Vesta Color brand manager Hamidreza Shafiei. To make a living from art, however, is undoubtedly the biggest obstacle facing Middle Eastern artists.
Shafiei explains: "the best way to develop the Middle East is via art, and fortunately, there is a rising infrastructure of world-class galleries and premium museums. From the standpoint of creative activity, it is analogous to a golden spring that, when more is drawn from, produces more. But it appears that the unshaped cycle is the extensive and organized assistance that Middle Eastern artists receive in the art industry."
He underlines: "There's little doubt that helping Middle Eastern artists make a living from their work may contribute significantly to the region's cultural and economic advancement. Additionally, the increase can support the region's residents' exchange of cultural ideas and a stronger sense of cultural identity."
Hamidreza Shafiei goes on, "Middle Eastern artists place a high value on making a living from their art because it allows them to support their artistic pursuits, advance cultural development, and achieve personal and professional success. Ensuring that artists can make a living from their work will foster a robust and long-lasting creative ecology, especially as the region's art sector grows with a richness of infrastructure and talent. This enhances artistic creativity and variety while reinforcing art's role as a potent catalyst for advancement and social change."
The brand manager for Vesta Color observes: "Thankfully, there are a number of events taking place in the Middle East, which is encouraging and a turning point. These days, the Sikka Art & Design Festival, Art Dubai, AlUla Festival and Diriyah Biennale in Saudi Arabia and many concurrent art events in Iran have garnered attention. The progress of art and its entry into people's life occur in the shadow of such various events, and stylish exhibition venues are built to help artists make a living off of their creations."
Hamidreza Shafiei concludes by stating that the presence of large regional firms and attracting the participation of international art organizations are two significant strategies for encouraging the sale of artworks and assisting in the short-term expansion of the Middle Eastern art economy.
