Vesta Color
Fardokht Kiaeemehr, Van Gogh Technique, and Vesta Color
The goal of a collaborative effort between Vesta Color and Mojdeh Art Gallery is to foster artistic abilities and create a fresh artistic environment that advances the field of art. One of the project participants, Fardokht Kiaeemehr, is a young artist who used a variety of Vesta Color products to produce a piece that she then presented to the brand. For this piece, she employed a variety of Vesta Color materials.
ArtDayMe : A collaboration between Vesta Color and Mojdeh Art Gallery aims to foster artistic talent and create a new artistic ecology that promotes art development. A young artist who took part in this project, Fardokht Kiaeemehr, made a piece using several Vesta Color products and presented it to the company. The work of art, which measures 100 by 80 centimeters and is part of the “Bustle” series, was made by merging materials on canvas. We conducted the following interview with Kiaeemehr in light of this:
_Please give us a quick summary of your artistic background.
Fardokht Kiaeemehr : Born In February 2001, I received my photography diploma. Then, I earned a bachelor's degree in painting from Tehran's Soore University. I've been professionally involved in the art world for seven years.
_Could you provide more details about your collections and artistic processes?
Fardokht Kiaeemehr : I worked mostly in the areas of digital, printing, stenciling, and painting during my three years at the art school. I concentrated on illustration, and I took part in and won a lot of competitions. Throughout my four years of university studies, I spent most of my time immersed in artistic activities.
Over the years, I have produced a number of distinct collections using various methods and strategies. “Angel of Freedom," a figurative drawing with watercolor technique, is one of my most successful collections. I have painted the concept of “nature” like many others, but I have focused on experimentation in composition and space-building.
My other collections are “hand prints” created with line art, watercolor, and metal pen techniques, all based on research. The other collection that attracted a lot of interest is “3D art,” which I showcased as my thesis's capstone piece. The “Coverage” collection was the one in which I focused on light and shadow.
_What collection are you working on right now?
Fardokht Kiaeemehr : I've been concentrating lately on the “Bustle” series, which blends color and volume.
_ What are your top priorities for the future?
Fardokht Kiaeemehr : My profession and passion are both in the arts. As a result, I am working on my most recent collection and trying to continue my work process. I want my artwork to be exhibited on the most prestigious art stages, both nationally and internationally.
_Explain the piece of art you created for the partnership between Vesta Color and Mojdeh Art Gallery.
Fardokht Kiaeemehr : It is titled “Inside Out” and is part of the “Bustle” series. The 100 x 80 piece was made in the fall of 2024 using Vesta items including gesso, oil paint, and texture. I would say that I am now using a neutral or mostly white palette that is in line with different textures in order to introduce this work conceptually.
I aim to connect with a minimalist aesthetic, which often inspires reflection while remaining simple and encourages a deeper connection to the thoughts and ideas that drive the work. This was accomplished by employing the “Van Gogh technique” of applying color piecemeal and without blending, resulting in a brilliant expression of my own individuality.
Choosing a largely white space can represent purity, nothingness, or promise, whereas textures can signify depth of experience or intricacy beneath the surface.
_How long have you been aware of Vesta Color's offerings?
Fardokht Kiaeemehr : I have had the well-known brand Vesta Color by my side ever since my life got more involved with art, and I have applied it in a variety of ways. Vesta Color is an Iranian brand that is easily accessible and has been able to meet the diverse needs of professional artists.
_ If you could only provide one of Vesta's items to other artists, which would you choose?
Fardokht Kiaeemehr : I consider Vesta's textures to be one of its strong points because they live up to expectations. Therefore, I believe it has the potential to be made available to everyone who uses the material.
_ How do you feel about Vesta Color and Mojdeh Art Gallery's collaboration project?
Fardokht Kiaeemehr : These days, I believe it is uncommon for galleries and businesses to promote or even invest in young people. Young artists are discouraged and believe they must wait ten to twenty years to be recognized since some people neglect their talent and efforts.
Some feel that a real artist must be 30 years old and above. I am delighted that the Vesta Color-Mojdeh project has addressed this misunderstanding. I am thrilled to have been a part of this initiative, and I feel like it is a window of opportunity.
