Fardokht Kiaeemehr's Painting of Identity; Hamidreza Shafiei
Through its appealing minimalist style, merging of semi-abstract forms, and deep color textures, the painting “Inside Out” tells an emotional and psychological story about identity and contemporary man. This could be an indication of the personal issues that people are currently experiencing.
Iran Art : Fardokht Kiaeemehr, a young painter who explores art both academically and creatively and develops wonderful artistic endeavors, just finished a piece with various Vesta Color products as part of a cooperative effort between Vesta Color and Mojdeh Art Gallery and delivered it to the company.
Using Vesta products like gesso, oil paint, and texture, she created the 100 x 80-inch piece “Inside Out” in the fall of 2024 as part of her new series “Bustle.”
Hamidreza Shafiei, Vesta Color's manager, thanked Fardokht Kiaeemehr for her involvement in the project and expressed satisfaction that Vesta Color products were employed to create this wonderful and distinctive artwork.
He stated: With its appealing minimalist style, “Inside Out” is impressive in a number of ways, in my opinion. The piece tells an emotional and psychological story about identity and contemporary man by fusing semi-abstract forms with rich color textures. The work can be read in a variety of ways, ranging from personal crises that have engulfed humanity in recent years to alienation and the unpredictability of existence.
Hamidreza Shafiei believes that “Inside Out” is a contemporary abstract figurative artwork. The use of thick color layers, particularly in the white areas, has enhanced the painting's physicality and texture, giving it a more organic appearance and a resemblance to the wear and tear, fading, and mutability of features. The brush movement is easily discernible on the piece's surface, contributing to the composition's sense of movement.
Shafiei underlined: The piece uses a semi-abstract technique and features multiple human faces. Some of the faces are more comprehensive, while others appear blurry in the white texture. The impression of uncertainty and identity instability is heightened by the figures' unclear bounds.
According to Vesta Color Manager, the eyes, produced with bright colors and high contrast, represent the emotional focus of the work. The image is given contrast and dynamism by the use of a range of vivid hues with varying tonalities, including red, blue, yellow, green, and purple.
Shafiei asserts that the cover's white color serves as a blurring element and a partition separating the characters from the background, reinforcing the idea of identity loss or detachment from reality. The observer is given a sense of instability and evanescence by the contrast between the vibrant colors and the faded areas.
Hamidreza Shafiei came to the conceptual conclusion that the faded and partial faces convey a sense of loss, identity uncertainty, or personal crisis. The modern human condition, existential crises, social pressures, and estrangement could all be addressed in the work.
