Ramadan Nights at Hayy Jameel is a cultural destination, presenting workshops, talks, film screenings, Ramadan-specific pop-up eateries and shopping opportunities across 14 nights with more than 30 collaborators, free and open to all.
Titled ‘Union of Artists’, the sculpture embodies the collective spirit of these artists’ diverse backgrounds and perspectives and blends their creative ideas and artistic visions.
The Hayy Jameel Façade Commission is an annual programme that gives one artist the opportunity to develop a major public work for the 25-metre “canvas” on the front of the building — a feature integral to the architectural intent.
Curated by Art Jameel curator Lucas Morin, ‘At the Edge of Land’ brings together works from the Art Jameel Collection, in addition to loans and new commissions by international artists, many of whom are showing their work in Saudi Arabia for the first time.
