Artdayme: The next edition of the Jameel Prize is now accepting applicants. 

The seventh Jameel Prize is dedicated to moving image and new media work, inviting applications from contemporary artists and designers working with film, video, and installation, as well as with evolving and emerging technologies – including digital art, animation, virtual reality, projection mapping, 3D printing, and the internet.

A renowned jury will meet and select a set of finalists, whose work will form the basis of a major exhibition curated by the V&A’s Jameel Curator of Contemporary Art from the Middle East, Rachel Dedman.

Organised by the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, in partnership with Art Jameel, the vision of the Jameel Prize is to recognise the influence of Islamic tradition on contemporary culture and celebrate contemporary practitioners inspired by Islamic design and visual culture.
