Dhofar International Contemporary Art Exhibition was held in Oman
The event was held at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah.
ArtDayME: The Dhofar International Contemporary Art Exhibition, organised by the Omani Women’s Association in Salalah in collaboration with Dhofar Municipality, concluded successfully on Friday evening.
The event was held at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah.
Over the course of five days, more than 300 artworks were displayed, featuring contributions from 200 artists, both local and international. The exhibition included a diverse range of artistic expressions, such as fine arts, sculpture, and photography.
Amer bin Ahmed Al Amri, Assistant Supervisor General of the Exhibition, highlighted the significance of the event, noting its broad international participation. He said that the exhibition served as a platform for cultural, intellectual, and artistic exchange, while also promoting the Dhofar Khareef season.
“The exhibition was well received by citizens, residents, and visitors to the governorate,” Amri said, adding that it offered a rich variety of artistic works across different fields.
Following the exhibition, Dr Mohammed bin Saeed al Sha’sha’i, Director General of Information in Dhofar, honoured the sponsors, supporters, and participants involved in the event’s activities.
The exhibition, held as part of the Dhofar Khareef season, provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the beauty of international fine arts and foster the exchange of artistic expertise among participants.
